Description
This beautiful Tomten’s Folklore Christmas double edge border fabric is designed by Eva Melhuish for Lewis and Irene. Tomten is a Scandinavian mythological creature with a beard and a red cap, similar in appearance to Santa Claus or a Christmas elf. Eva’s Scandinavian roots are a key influence in her designs; she is best known for her atmospheric Christmas illustrations and wintry scenes.
This design features Tomten characters, Scandinavian painted horses, snowflakes, stars, trees, flowers and hearts running along the edge of the fabric, with a blue starry section in the middle. The design is mirrored on the other edge of the fabric. The fabric is perfect for Christmas tablecloths and can be purchased in several different lengths to suit different table sizes.
This fabric can also be used for dressmaking and craft projects; divide in the middle to make a beautiful Christmas wall hanging or a child’s Christmas skirt. There are several co-ordinating fabrics available in the Keep Believing, Tomten’s Village, Tomten’s Forest Friends and Tomten’s Folklore Christmas collections to help complete your projects.
