Terms and Conditions of Sale

By placing an order, you are deemed to have accepted the terms and conditions detailed below.

Fabric Cuts

Fabrics cut to order cannot be returned unless faulty.  Please note that the fabric dimensions detailed are approximate; fabric is cut by hand, so please allow a 1cm margin of error in all cut lengths.  Where more than one metre of fabric is ordered, the fabric will be supplied in a continuous length wherever possible.

Fabric Colours

Please note that different devices may display colours differently, so the actual shade of fabric may differ from how it displays on your screen.  We strive to describe fabrics accurately to enable you to make the correct selection for your requirements.

Stock Availability

If you are unable to select a sufficient quantity of fabric or any other items for your needs, please contact us to check availability as we have new stock arriving regularly and may have more available or due to arrive imminently than is currently listed.

We strive to maintain accurate stock availability information on our website, however occasionally stock listed may be unavailable due to issues with stock in hand, high volume of orders limiting our ability to update stock quantities, or human error.  If we are unable to supply any items you have ordered, we will contact you to offer a replacement or a refund.

Pricing

We reserve the right to amend any incorrect prices that may appear on the website due to human error.  Should this occur, we will contact you prior to despatch to confirm the amended price and to offer a refund should you prefer this option.

Payment

Payments through this website are processed by Stripe.  We use Stripe to collect your payment information which is transmitted securely directly to Stripe without passing through our servers, thus protecting your personal payment data.

Delivery

Standard delivery costs £3 per order or is free for orders over £30.  If you find that your order is close to the free delivery threshold, you can find low-cost items in the haberdashery section, including items in the ribbon category from 10p per metre, to top up your order to the required amount to qualify for free delivery.

We currently supply to UK addresses only.  Orders are usually despatched within 3 working days of being placed.  Please make sure that you enter your full address details, as incomplete address information is likely to delay your order.

The majority of orders are sent by Royal Mail or Parcelforce; some larger orders may be sent via APC couriers.  Royal Mail deliveries will usually arrive within 3 working days of despatch.  Courier deliveries will generally arrive the next working day.  Please ensure that you are able to accept delivery of your order or make alternative arrangements to facilitate delivery of your parcel as not all orders will fit through a letterbox.

If Royal Mail, Parcelforce or APC couriers are unable to deliver to you they should leave a card showing that they have attempted delivery; however this does not always happen and is beyond our control.  If your order has not arrived within the expected timescale, please inform us and we can advise you how your order was despatched so that you can check with the relevant local delivery office in case the parcel is being held there.

Royal Mail will not deem items lost in the post until after ten working days have passed from the due date of arrival, therefore no claims for lost items can be considered until this time has elapsed.  Delivery may take longer during busy times such as the run-up to Christmas and during periods of adverse weather.

If an order is deemed to be lost in transit, a claim will be made to the relevant delivery provider and any refund to the customer will be made once this process is completed.  In the case of Royal Mail, this can take up to 30 days.  In some cases, we may advise you to make a claim yourself for compensation through the Royal Mail website.

Cancellations and Returns

You can cancel your order at any time prior to despatch by contacting us by e-mail or telephone, or by using the form on the Contact page.  We do not advise cancelling by writing to us as it is likely your order will have been despatched before your letter arrives.

Fabric that has been cut to order cannot be returned unless it is faulty.

You should inspect your items on arrival and notify us within 14 days of any faulty items or discrepancies in items received.  Minor imperfections in fabric can occur and should be deemed acceptable, however fabric with any serious defects can be returned for replacement or refund.  Fabric that has been processed in any way, including cutting, washing, treating in any way or sewing, cannot be returned so it is important that you inspect the fabric thoroughly before processing.

Non-fabric items and packaged fabric pre-cuts may be returned providing they are in their original unopened packaging, undamaged and in a re-saleable condition.  Any fabric pre-cuts that have been opened are not deemed to be in a re-saleable condition.  If you wish to return any items, you should notify us of your intention to do so within 14 days of arrival.  Items will need to be returned to us within the following 14 days.  We will then refund the item within the next 14 days providing the item is in a re-saleable condition as outlined above.  A deduction may be made if the value of the goods has been reduced as a result of you handling the goods more than was necessary.

If you are returning any items, you must obtain proof of posting so that a claim can be made in the event of the parcel not arriving back with us.  Standard proof of posting covers items up to the value of £20 only.  If the items you are returning have a higher value, please contact us before returning to discuss whether a higher insurance value should be obtained.  In the case of faulty items, the cost of returning them by standard second class Royal Mail postage will be refunded, provided they fall into the large letter or small parcel categories.  For returns that do not fall into these categories, please contact us before returning to discuss the best option.  If you select any additional postal services, including a faster delivery service or signature on delivery, these additional costs will not be refunded.  For all returns, please obtain and retain a monetary receipt as well as the proof of postage, which should detail the correct return postcode, SA70 8LY.  The full postal address for returns is: Pili Pala Fabrics, White Gables, St Florence, Tenby, Pembrokeshire, SA70 8LY.

If you are returning an item that is not faulty, you are responsible for the cost of return postage.  Providing the item is in a re-saleable condition as outlined above, you will be refunded the cost of the item.

Postage or Address Label Lost in Transit

Occasionally parcels sent by Royal Mail lose the affixed postage or address label in the Royal Mail processing system.  Sometimes these items are returned to us by Royal Mail and sometimes Royal Mail deliver the item to the buyer with a surcharge applied stating that no postage was paid.  We obtain proof of posting for items sent by Royal Mail, so should this occur we are able to send you the proof of posting to enable you to make a claim for the surcharge applied.  Please note that you are not obliged to pay the surcharge, you can choose to reject the item and it should eventually be returned to us.  If you choose to pay the surcharge to receive the item, we advise you to then contact us promptly so that we can provide the evidence needed for you to reclaim the surcharge.  You can claim online at royalmail.com

Damage in transit

If your order has been damaged in transit, you must retain all items, the despatch note and the packaging so that a claim for damages can be pursued.  You will need to provide photographic evidence of the damage.

Licensed Fabrics

Please note that any Licensed Fabrics on the website are for personal use only so you can make items for yourself or give them away as gifts, but commercial use is not allowed, so you cannot usually sell items made with these fabrics.

Variation of Terms & Conditions

We reserve the right to amend our terms and conditions should we deem this necessary or if required to do so by law, so please check the current terms and conditions on each occasion you place an order as they may have changed since you last consulted them.
