Psychedelic Woodland is a stunning collection of animal panels and blender square panels designed by Delphine Brooks for Lewis and Irene. The inspiration for this collection comes from the celestial night sky and the mystical creatures of the forest, expressed in an explosion of bold colours and striking patterns. The collection includes three animal panels; the Mystical Hare Panel, the Magical Fox Panel and the Wise Owl Panel. In addition, there are three colourful blender squares panels; the Magical Plants Squares, Blender Squares and Moonstone Squares.
This colourful Moonstone Squares panel has forty-eight 5-inch squares with colourful foliage prints in a variety of sizes. The squares are comparable to the size of standard charm squares. You can use these squares together with the animal panels to create beautiful quilts, wall hangings, tote bags or cushions. Alternatively, you can use the squares independently for patchwork projects such as tableware, fabric baskets, zipped pouches and gift bags. There are two other squares panels in the collection designed to spark your own creativity. The Blender Squares panel features bold colours and abstract prints. In addition, there is the Magical Plants panel, which features colourful mushroom, fern, floral and foliage designs. Mix and match the squares of your own choosing to create an exclusive design and an item that will be treasured for years to come!
The animal panels have three different sections designed especially to inspire your own creativity. The main block, measuring approximately 45cm x 83cm, has an image of a hare, a fox or an owl. Secondly, you can fussy cut a block with elements of mushrooms and foliage for applique to enhance the main block. In addition, a third section has smaller blocks which you can use as blenders to extend the size of the main block. Alternatively, you can use these blocks independently for other projects. The mushroom block measures approximately 60cm x 50cm with an inset of a suggested design for the panel in the bottom right-hand corner measuring approximately 8.5cm x 16cm. The smaller blocks section includes fifteen 10cm squares, one 30cm x 10cm block and one strip approximately 60cm x 7.5cm.
The panels also have printed instructions and design suggestions incorporated to help inspire your creations.
